Enniscorthy is situated on en-route from Rosslare to Dublin on the N11. It is approximately 26 miles from Rosslare and 70 miles from Dublin. It is a very historic town where the 1798 Rebellion took place on Vinegar Hill.

Enniscorthy is an ideal base for touring the Southeast of Ireland. Local amenities include some of the finest beaches in Ireland. Wexford Town is just 40 minutes to the south. Further along is Rosslare with its boastful sandy beaches and ferry port Rosslare Harbour (the gateway to England and France). Enniscorthy is divided in two by the River Slaney. It is most picturesque with the River Slaney winding alongside the town where small streets full of character and bustle spill down to the river bank. The town has some historic sites including a Norman Castle which houses the County Museum, St Aidan's Cathedral designed by Pugin and Vinegar Hill. Whilst wandering through the small streets of Enniscorthy, viewing these places of interest, why not enjoy a drink in one of the local pubs and be sure of some good 'craic' in the evening. The 1798 centre is certainly worth a visit and will bring visitors up to date with much of the history of the area.

We look forward to welcoming you.
